Three kilos of hops and 40 kilos of barley selflessly give their lives to make every barrel of our punchy bestseller. It’s a lot to ask. But their new life as this hop-forward US style IPA makes their sacrifice worthwhile. Surrender yourself to fruit-forward flavours with a dash of sharp citrus. Followed by a lingering bitterness set against a smooth, malty base. HOPPY TROPICAL CITRUSSY

330 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%. Unfiltered and unpasteurised. Golden colour, slightly hazy. Large white head. Strong hoppy aroma of tropical fruits, citrus and pine. Slightly dry flavour, still with some residual sweetness. Hoppy flavour, notes of tropical fruits and pine needles, fairly bitter finish. A decent US style IPA.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a murky brown with yellow edges, head was white and frothy. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, pungent to the nose. Taste is fruity, grapefruit, orange, juicy, lingers around the palate.
