Heaps of hops give this pale lager a bracing, herbal bite over layers of soft and smooth malt flavor. This refreshing combination of tastes makes Prima a classy quencher in the tradition of the great pilsners of Europe. Dry and delightful, this is an elegant beer. Malts: 2 row German Pilsner malt Hops: German and Czech whole flowers

Feb. 2015: 355 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Clear golden colour, moderate to low white head. Nice aroma of floral, grassy and herbal hops, some sweetish malts in the background. Medium sweet and malty flavour, followed by distinct herbal hops. A good pilsener indeed, but some European ones are better.

Pours a typical but attractive clear yellow, not much head. Aroma is malty and pleasant, seems to have a peaty hint. Flavor is fuller than that of most pilsners I have tried - mainly malty, a hoppy hint and a suggestion of fruit flavor, maybe apple. Jazzier than the typical pilsner, not at all watery - savory and satisfying.

Pours a golden straw color with a large white head with average retention. Eventually, the head settles to nice patches of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is very zesty and grassy from the hops, with just a touch of citrus and earth. The hops take center stage over the pils malt backbone. The taste has lots of hop flavor and bitterness abound. Grass and earth are the initial flavors, before giving way to black pepper, grapefruit rind, lemon zest, and pine notes on the finish and aftertaste. The mouthfeel is light and spritzy with healthy carbonation and big dryness, but it's incredibly refreshing on a hot day

A good "sessionable" pils to borrow a phrase. Clear golden yellow with a tight head. Grains and grass ahbound. Very little hoppiness and not very sweet. Crisp finish. Would drink again, but not go out of my way for it.

(airport brew made the price high) Grass and lemon and a bit of pine in the nose. Gonna be hoppy; appropriate for the style. Pours a light yellow clear body with a nice very white egg cream head that dissipates fairly rapidly but leaves quite nice lace. Mouth is close to full which it didn't look like, carbonation very nicely done. Flavor is a tug of war between tart, sour, and bitter all in a god way. Starts with a grass and a buried buttery under-note. HIts slightly honey in mid taste and then closes bitter with a tart/sour aftertaste. Perhaps more hoppy than many pils this is very nicely done! Bottom line, a VERY good American version of a Bohemian Pilsener. Above review was for draft, having had a bottle now I am knocking body down a bit, but still a very nice pils. 1/5/2016

I picked this beer up as a mixed six-pack from the Salem Kroger. This beer was nice and pretty in-line with the style. It's as close to a Euro pilsner import as I have found. That being said, I'd prefer a Czech Rebel or a Pilsner Urquell for the same price point.

This is my go to pils, it is a great session beer, pours golden with a white head and has a nice lager aroma with a citrus and floral taste. Like it is said in other post this is a great American version of a classic European Style.

This is one of the better pilz out there. Smooth and crips, with a decent hop finish in the flavor. Aroma is about average overall, but non-skunky and actually quite good for a pilsner. Appearance is on the pale and yellow side...not much orange in the tint. Didn't expect much more on those categories, but everything else more than makes up for it. This is something I may buy a 6-pack of before the end of the summer.

Pours a light gold, slightly cloudy with a 2 finger white head. The head dissipates after a few minutes but leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. Aroma of hops, spice, citrus. Flavour is just great starting with both the hops and malt, a touch of lemon/citrus flowing into a strong bitter hop finish. Crisp and clean to the max very drinkable with lots of flavour. Medium bodied well carbonated mouthfeel suits this brew well. Very good.

Pours a lighter shade of gold with a nice thick head. Smooth and refreshing with nice nice little hop bite...not too strong and not too weak. This would be an excellent brew to use to introduce swill drinkers to a smooth brew with some hops. I have been getting the Victory 12pk lately with HopDevil, Golden Monkey and Prima Pils! I will definately have another.
