The beer pours a coca-cola colour with a creamy brown head which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is roasted malt, nuts, and coffee. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is light roasted malt, dark chocolate, and has a light bitter finish. -

Pours barely translucent chocolate with a fair ivory head. Aroma provides roast malt, caramel and tart apple tones. Flavor presents roast malt, apple and catamel with a nutty hint. Texture supplies OK body and perky fizz. Not baaaaaaaad.

Clear dark amber with light brown lacing foam head. Aroma is coffee, some caramel. Taste is bit dissaointing after the great aroma. No aftertaste it’s gone when swallowed. (Moscow 201310)

Bottle in Praha. Poured a clear ruby brown colored beer with a thin one finger beige foamy head that had a poor retention. The aroma is slight roasted malts, sweet caramel, molasses. The flavour is sweet roasted malts, molasses, licorice, caramel. The mouthfeel is quite watery. This light bodied beer has a sweety end. Not my way.

A very sweet beer, almost herbal in taste, looks lke coke and the time I had it it was very flat, nice flavour but couldn't help feeling I was having a soft drink.

courtesy of oh6gdx - dark ruby brown colour, little irregular but stable beige head; slightly toasted, a fair biscuity maltiness and some caramelish notes; quite sweet and light-bodied with a solid carbonation; short butterscotchy aftertaste

A: Beige, dense head, holds well, dropping to a crema. Copper colour, no haze S: Biscuity malt, touch gamey. Iced coffee, nuts. F: Caramel - very malt driven. Not much hop character evident, light late bitterness. M: Smooth and creamy, but hollow in the mid-palate. D: Easy drinking, but more like a malt shake than a beer

Really interesting aroma. I did smell some caramel in it, sweet and at the same time not irritatingly sweet aroma. Aroma is the best component in this beer. But the taste is OK too. Really dark color (Black beer would be a better type for it maybe, especially because the name of it is cerne - black???) Top does not last for long.

Very nice looking beer. Black reddish dark and deep color, fine fluffy creamy foam with solid lacing. A little blur and unclear aroma, something malty and grassy, but overall not clear. Watery in a mouth, somehow oily, but rich and medium to full bodied. Intensely malty, some bread and caramel taste, a little spicy, sweetish at end and fine smooth aftertaste. It is really spice with the first sip, that goes enough surprising, but later in turns to very smooth and well balanced flavor. Recommended beer. Very pleasant.

Dark red colour with beige small head. Fresh sweetish malt aroma. Flavor is toasted malt with a bit bitterness, but still very refreshing. Very wellbalanced. One of the "sure shots" when it comes to dark Czech beer.
