This traditional barleywine features 100% floor-malted Maris Otter barley and an incredibly long boil for flavor and color development. Rich and malty with a raisiny aroma, the flavor is dominated by notes of biscuit, prune, and cherry.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9
Pint can pours with a dark mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a fair load of dark fruity esters like plums, raisins, blueberries and a bit of dates as well as faint murmurs of reduced sugars like caramel. The taste follow suit nicely with smooth supple sweet plums, raisins, blueberries and a sense of date like richness. To midway and into the finish lights amounts of sweet malts and sweet smooth caramel add layers and depth to the experience. This is smooth and supple-y sweet estery goodness. This might improve a bit with age but it's already pretty well integrated and inviting. Nice classic estery barleywine sipper.
