Our Nitro IPA is boldly bitter yet surprisingly smooth. Nitro can mute aroma and leave bitterness, particularly in IPAs, so to stand up to the creaminess of nitro we used heavy doses of dry hopping to achieve the resinous pine, spice, and citrus hop character we love. A fortitude of hop character remains with notes of resinous pine and citrus for a flavorful, lingering finish. HOP VARIETIES Zeus, Polaris, Galaxy, Amarillo, Centennial, Simcoe MALT VARIETIES Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend YEAST STRAIN Samuel Adams Ale Yeast Deep amber / 10 SRM

Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7

Settles to a small off white head that lasts, coating lace. Bright, copper hued brew. Nose of light melons, hint of pine. Med/light body, soft carbonation, lil oily, juicy. Fairly hop forward flavors masking some pale malts er something, citrus and pine, some notes of honey and melons.Dry finish is fruity with a surprisingly bracing bitterness and a touch of alcohol warmth. Regular Sammy drinkers wont be able to handle the bitterness that is bought on by the nitronization of this brew. 16oz Can from statelineliquors

16oz can at the state store
After letting it sit for a few seconds. It is clear golden with a medium sized creamy white head, lots of lacing. Aroma is grassy and pine resin. Taste is citrus, resiny, herbal with a bitter finish, dry
An old school IPA, bitter and resin.

Pours clear, coppery amber with a very fine-bubbled buff head that leaves generous lacing. Aroma delivers resiny hop and sweet citrus tones. Refreshing flavor is nothing special, but pleases with citrus and hop notes, a little bitterness, a hint of malt. Smooth mouthfeel presents decent body and fizz. Get hoppin’ for a can.

Sam Adams simply doesn't miss. This was a really nice nitro IPA. I know there are legions of anti-nitro folk. I am not one of them. I like nitro beers and it works well with an IPA. Great job Sam Adams.

Pine and biscuit and lavender in the nose. Clear golden body topped with worthy egg white head with good retention and OK lace. Mouth is thick and creamy (nitro). 100 IBU tastes like 75 or so (nitro again) but it is quite bitter. A hint of peach in the flavor, a dry raw grainy flavor with a bit of alcohol present. I tend to find a bit of sour in nitro spa's and its in this one too. Finish is astringent and sour in an unpleasant way.
