At 10.5% alcohol by volume, barley wine style ale is in a class all its own. Intense caramelized flavors create sweetness which is balanced by huge additions of Galena hops. Cascade aromatic hops are added at the end of the boil to compliment this strongest of ales.

Medium orange color. Small to medium white foamy head. Aroma is raisins, bananas and sweet malts. A medium to full bodied barley wine. Malts are fruity and sweet. Tons of banana, clove, brown sugar and vanilla flavors. Hops are grapefruity and spicy. A well-balanced barley wine. Very smooth. Finish is very clean. Very mellow as it has aged well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. Thanks to Dr. Bill for sharing this one as well.

Bottle. Brownish color with little to no head. Nice malty aroma with some sherry and burnt caramel. Taste is candied sugar and sweet, toffee and light oak. Nicely maked alsohol. No burn, lightly hopped, really, really good. Addictive. Thanks HERFTYdrF (Andre) for this real gem.

This barley wine pours with a cloudy, deep amber body topped by a thick head with good lacing. The aroma is sweet and fruity with candy sugar notes and a ton of malt. The flavor is sweet and full of candy sugar with slight notes of fruit and a very slight bitterness. Medium bodied and smooth.
