Tall can from LCBO. Pours a nice big frothy off-white head and has a pale golden fairly clear appearance. Big thick soapy lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of wheat, herbal and grassy hops. Flavours are mainly grainy and herbal, some subtle wheat and grass notes. Very dry mouthfeel.

Can. Colour – clear gold, white head, quickly disappears, no lacing. Aroma – grass, yeast, herbal hops. Mouthfeel –medium bodied, medium carbonation. Flavour – grains are present, some light sweetness, very bitter finish. Quite enjoyable.

Clean, golden with a light-amber. Frothy-bubbly off-white head, average retention and light lacing. Spicy hop aromas which are nice for the style, almost like rye is involved here with the grasses. The finish has a little dryness. Bitterness does build a bit at that point, lingering. Cereal grain flavours with the hops over it. Seems like the hoppiness is fighting the alcohol warmth, but not sure. Decent Festbier.

The beer pours a translucent gold colour, with orange highlights and a bubbly white head which has very little retention. The aroma is grains, German yeast, and light fruity hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, slightly creamy, with ample carbonation. The flavour is malty with notes light apple, the yeast flavour is present, and the hop finish has a bitter bite. This is the best Ontario Marzen I’ve had since the original Beau’s Nightmarzen
