Bravo and East Kent Goldings hops Halcyon malt, Marris Otter malt, Crystal malt, Flaked oats Some of the greatest men on Earth did big things with wooden sticks in their hands. Theodore Roosevelt. Hank Aaron. Judge Judy. Gandalf. We made a beer for the the folks wielding sticks, risking splinters every time they swing a bat. Or cast a spell. Or do ninja stuff. This red ale has the big malt backbone and creamy mouthfeel you’d expect from a red, but with a little something extra. It’s dry-hopped with the floral East Kent Golding hop, and aged on hard maple. None of that sissy soft maple your mom uses.

Had a taste at the Secret Stash Bash - needed to give it a fair try! Pours clear mahogany with a rather thick light tan head. Aroma has malty, caramel and woody notes plus an appreciable alcohol nip. Woody flavor has definite maple tone supporting the toasty malt and caramel notes plus hoppy and subtle fruity hints. Texture is firm and smooth, yet fairly fizzy, leaving a woody and slightly caramel finish. Drink responsibly and carry a big stick.
