Bon voyage!

From the 2022 McAuslan Gift Pack at the LCBO. The beer pours a solid black with a creamy brown head which quickly recedes to a ring. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, with hints of alcohol and wood as well. The mouthfeel is creamy and full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, anise, and woody notes with a nice bitter finish.

Pours a hazy dark brown colour with plum highlights. The head is mocha-brown, creamy, very long lasting with some creamy lacing. At first, banana aromas, then some sweetness, raisins, apples, chocolate notes and light alcohol. Not as sweet in the mouth, as well-blended by the hops. Soft roasted malts, fruity notes, caramel and hints of licorice. A decent Baltic Porter that fits the McAuslan line-up, being easy to drink and nicely balanced.
