On tap at Lagunitas during SF Beer Week, what a week! It pours dark with mahogany hues and near white head of foam. The modest aroma sets up some malts sweetness, a bit of roasted malts and chocolate malts along with a modest level of Brett in the background. The taste has sweet malts, a bit of roasted maltiness, some chocolate malts and then it moves into a slight red wine sense followed by lingering Bretty yeast like notes. I love the layers of beer flavors rather than straight up Brett. Great sipper.
