In March 2009 brewery Bockor expands its range of lager and fruit beers with Rosé Max. Rosé Max completes the existing range of Max beers (Kriek Max, Passion Max and Framboise Max). This beer contains 4,5% vol. alc, is based on wheat beer, composed of 70% of malt and 30% of wheat and is enriched with natural raspberry juice and natural aromas. The beer has a clear and red colour. The refreshing and fruity flavour and the sweet raspberry aroma make you long for a hot and long summer! Consumers who prefer light and easy drinking beers will certainly love Rosé Max. They have two reasons to try it: it's a new delicious beer with the quality guarantee of the Max range.

The beer pours a translucent crimson colour with a generous foamy tan coloured head that lasts a while. The aroma is an artificial cherry lollipop note with no other real odours like yeast, hops, etc). The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet cherry cough syrup with a very bitter finish, but not a hop bitterness. I would not recommend this.

Hazy red with a purple hue, with a big frothy light-pinkish head, becoming kind of creamy, with good retention and some decent lacing. Fruity nose with cherries, apple juice and eventually raspberries coming out. Not as syrupy as I was expecting, as also sugars are in here - other than a bunch of fruit juices. Just enough hops to give a slight dryness in the finish. Not a bad fruity beer.

250 ml bottle, from Matkroken Stokka. BB date 02.01.2015. ABV is 4.5%. I expected something bright red, but the colour is peachy to orange-brownish. Large off-white head. Strong sweetish aroma of ripe and over-ripe raspberries. Fruity flavour, sweet, but not as much as I feared. Raspberries and other undefined ripe fruits. Hardly any bitterness.
