Great Sex Brewing’s ale is a light golden beer that is clean, crisp, easy to drink and pleasing to the eye. This outstanding beer’s finish is slightly dry, adding encouragement for patrons to “have another”. Rich malt flavor is prevalent due to Vienna malts and there is the hint of caramel sweetness brought forth by the addition of Crystal malts. The bitterness level is present only to maintain proper balance. Lower ale fermentation temperatures coupled with discerning yeast and hop selection ensures a delightfully smooth beer containing six percent alcohol.

How do you pass up a bottle labeled "Great Sex"? Nothing too stunning visually about this...solid amber color with a creamy beige head that clings to the glass a bit. Flavorwise, however...it is nice to come across a beer that does not immediately fall into your expectations. This is a bit sweeter than most ambers; a lot of caramel in there. The hops are more floral/grass than bitter, which blends beautifully with the aforementioned caramel. Caramel and a hint of alcohol in the aroma, some more alcohol on the tongue and in the finish. Overall, this is quite a good beer from a brewery that I have never heard of...a beer that is made even better via the painting of naked people on the label. How could you go wrong with a label like that?

rating from 2006.This amber pours a medium amber color from a 120z bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, with a touch of lactic sourness. A medium bodied amber. Malts are fruity and sweet, caramel and bready. It's a touch sour and may be past its prime. Hops are slightly bitter. Its a touch less sweet than you're average brew pub amber, but that's about it. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
