Summer is a special time in Grapevine, Texas filled with fun and family activities, festivals and all around good times. Every Friday night over the calm of Lake Grapevine, we celebrate the summer with fireworks and with our friends. The parks surrounding the lake are filled with onlookers and the lake strewn with boats and kayaks affording a breathtaking view of the fire-lit sky. And nothing hits the spot like Lakefire, a refreshingly hoppy American rye pale ale, spicy with a slightly sweet maltiness balanced by a smooth hop finish and subtle fruit aroma. The Lakefire is a unique pale ale and a GCB crowd favorite.

Taps clear golden with a thick and fine-bubbled eggshell head. Aroma is not strong, but promises fruity and rye character. Flavor is a little better, with more rye and some malt as well as pomme and citrus tones. Body and fizz are average. Go jump in the lake. ;)

Rich orange amber body with a nice thick cap that left curtians of lace on the glass all the way down, very nice. Aroma had hints of citrus, bready malts, and spicy rye. Flavor was about the same, fairly nice balance between all of the flavors, not terribly aggressive or assertive but its a pale ale so... Overall a nice enough beer that i would try again.
