Gold Label was the first Pale Barleywine to come out, launched in 1951, by a brewer that later became part of Whitbread national group. It has an amber or bronze colour, but its flavours speak of pale malts. Originally made is Sheffield, this beer now comes from a brewery near Blackburn,Lancashire.
