Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 6
Bottled: Unpasturized and fresh from the brewery. Pour puts a standard looking commercial Pils in the glass..pale gold crystal clear...but this one has a rocky cap and this reduces to a nice lace and surface film. Aroma is not Pls..missing the floral bouquet...we get biscuit malt, lemon-cider and some grass on this ...like a helles. Moderate malts, medium-light body, peppery mouth feel, bready-cidery character. Starts with decent enough biscuity pils malts then some modest saaz hopping joins to balance givng a cidery effect mid palate...finish is crisp, clean and dry with a light biscuity after taste. A standard all malt pilsner with fair taste..a tad young ( needs some cold conditioning) bit at the price at least as good a deal as Steam Whistle or Stone hammer pils.
