A sensationally easy drinking amber brown beer with considerable depth given its mild manner. The aroma hints at caramel and cocoa. It is smooth and lightly carbonated leaning towards a nutty light caramel flavour with hint of mocha.

Tallboy from the Beer Store. Pours a fairly big foamy bubbly off-white head and has an amber coppery appearance. Big thick dirty lacing. Lively carbonation. Aromas of caramel malts, light roasted malt, some earthy and resin hops. Flavours are mostly malty, cocoa, some caramel and roasted malt notes, a bit sweet. Some very subtle mocha hints and also a bit nutty. Medium body. Not too bad.

Single can from the LCBO. Pours a clean, deep amber colour with a beige frothy head, good retention and creamy lacing. Nutty roasted malt aromas with hints of coffee, caramel and even chocolate. The taste is roasted malts, kind of watery, with notes of caramel and some decent hops in the finish. This creates a little grassy bitterness and dryness. Not bad, but missing a little balance.

Likely not one of the worlds great beers. Poured a dark brown that looked like color had been added There was almost no carbonation. The head faded a quickly as it was poured. The mouthfeel was thin and watery. I found very little positive about this one.

The beer poured a translucent reddish-brown with a very thin white head. The aroma was roasted malt, weak coffee, some caramel, and weak fruit. The mouthfeel was thin to medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is both bitter and sour malt, with a hint of sweetness.

Poured a deep chestnut brown into my pint glass. Small off white cap that went to a ring fairly soon but it did leave lace on the glass. Aroma was pleasant; sweet caramel malts over nutty-earthy tones, some fruit and grass smells. Silky body, light nutty malt tastes up front...fleeting date or raisin tones in the middle mingle with the now detectable grassy hops and nutty malt falvours, then the finish sees the nut-malt fall away and a very subtle bittering takes over. This is a very tasty and unique ale...a Hybrid, I think. Some Nut brown character with dark ale profile...nice blend....possibly the best ale from this brewer.
