If you like amber beers, this is such a good Scottish Ale it will have you hooked. Named after the great train lines that developed Montana, and after Bigfork's adopted sons from Nashville, the band "Last Train Home" (check out their website: www.lasttrainhome.com). A brilliant amber color, our Last Train Home is a traditional example of this classic style; that is enjoyed all year long, around the world.

I stumbled across this small microbrewery and tasting room on our recent trip through Montana and had to sample each of their 3 available offerings. Served in a logoed Flathead Lake pint glass, this is a beautiful amber colored ale, with a thin off white cap of foam. Lots of smells come through including a blend of hops and malty sweetness. Taste is also well balanced, not to much bitterness, and lots of caramel sweetness. It seemed a little thin, and kind of basic. A good adaptation, and nice fit with their other offerings that include a pale ale and porter. If you are headed past Flathead Lake, definatley worth a stop.
