Obskura is a double IPA that is assertive in aroma and flavour. With a bold hop character and a smooth mouthfeel, we double dry hopped this beer to achieve a punch of juicy flavours including coconut, melon and pine.

Tall can from LCBO. Pours an average size foamy off-white head, thick dirty sticky lacing, has a slightly hazy golden orangey coloured appearance. Lively carbonation. Aromas of floral and herbal hops, also grassy and some wheaty notes. Subtle citrus hints. Flavours are very citrusy and grassy, some herbal hop notes are also quite dominate along with some pine and tropical fruit. Some lemon and orange peel notes come through in the finish as well. A bit of bitterness on the palate.

Slightly unfiltered with very tiny particles floating around (does get hazy at last pour). Golden colour with a creamy white head, good retention and lots of creamy lacing. Big dark green grassy aromas with alcohol, hints of mint, plastics over a malty base. The taste is fairly bitter, dry with the alcohol drying the end. Again, very grassy. Not my favourite Imperial IPA, but still going down decently.
