Rated July 2011. Poured up on tap at the Dunedin brewpub with clear copper body with thin gold edges and nice white head. The modest aroma has apples, pears and honey like sweetness. Hmm? The taste is thick and estery with prunes, apricots and apples mixing with a near intriguing mix of banana and oak. Seems to be a new flavor for me. It gets a bit spicy into the finish with yeast and mild oak wood spices that don’t really do anything to keep this from getting overly sweet.
