Single can from The Beer Store. Pours a clean, real deep amber colour with a big frothy warm cap, great retention and coating the glass with a creamy layer. Smokey aromas of burnt wood with sweet darker malts. The taste starts off with the burnt flavours and some sweetness from the malt covers things. A nice wet, easy-drinking dark malty-sweet beer with some nice smokiness, but a little too light and sweet for my full liking. The smoke is nicely done though.

The beer pours a translucent dark copper colour with a thin creamy light tan coloured head which lasts a while. The aroma is smoked wood, rye, spices, floral hops, and light fruits. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour has leathery notes, some spice, some rye, and a weak bitter finish. Looks and smells good, but falls off after that!
