Faced with long winter nights, Scots are like to seek courage in fine whiskey and strong ale. But where does the Canadian turn for a warm belly on a cool evening? Ach, no less to the "wee heavy," a strong Scottish ale aged slowly in oak and emboldened with strong flavours and full body fit for hearty drinkers. "Heavy" is no mere moniker, though Brewmaster Paul chose to temper his ale's strength to a sensible 7%, leaving a bonnie 92% for flavour. And 1% for your Scottish brogue. Tak' a wee swallaw an' see.

    Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 5 | Mouthfeel: 3 | Flavor: 4 | Overall: 4

Body appears clear amber and started out with a pillowy tan cap. Mild hints of peat, malty softness, kind of a creamy apple but not...........all so very mild. Blech.............the feel is so soft and flat it almost felt slimy. Soft mnalty and with hints of oak.....not horrible but almost not drinkable...........is this an old bottle? Caramel, smoke, thats all. Seems old. AWWW Fawk i still have 2 more of these left.
