an ok offering, subpar for the Bear though. balanced sweet and bicuity malts and light citrus hopping make for a quaffable but ultimately uninteresting brew.

Tasted at the 6th Annual Triple Rock Firkin Fest on 4/4/2009. This ESB/bitter pours a light orange gold color from the Firkin. Small sized white foamy head, with decent retention. The aroma is orange, malt and fruity, with some earthy hops. A medium bodied bitter. The malts are fruity and sweet. Lots of orange and orange peel flavors. Hops are fairly bitter, floral and earthy. Very little carbonation at sampling. It seems a touch hoppy for the amount of malts, but it would make an excellent session ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
