07.08.05 RBSG Pale amber, hazy. Pear and apple fritters, some biscuit, savory spice, oriental spice. In fact, this smells more than a little bit like szechuan food. Body is oily, peppery. Good stuff.

WOW WOW WOW!!! This was my first trip into the land of Pizza Port and man was this a great one. Ginger and orange in the nose, along with some white pepper and candy...almost like...candy corn you get at Halloween. Flavor was complex also with a bready, citrusy, ginger tones that gets balanced by the hops. A nice dry finish....wow...simply awesome. I wish I could get this stuff on a regular basis.

This is an extraordinary beer imo. Had it near the end of the SoCal tasting and even with my taste buds being hammered by so many big beers this one shined.Glowing golden pour with a tight white head.Nose and flavor are spicy with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Strange fruitiness to it that my meager notes dont do justice. Another winner from Mr. Arthur and the fine Pizza Port folks!

Light gold color. Large white foamy head. Aroma is yeasty, fruity and tart. A medium bodied saison. Malts are fruity and sweet. Oranges and apricots. Very tart and somewhat funky. Big bright yeasts. Tart, crisp, light and refreshing. Nice beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Loved it. a big spicy, earthy saison. As noted by herbjones, we had this late in the tasting, but the flavors of this beer were excellent

I love this brew. I enjoyed a few frosty mugs of this delicacy. It is very experimental, and very powerful. I has a good amount of bannana flavor. I very much enjoyed this beer at a fine establishment.

These guys can’t do anything wrong. As good of an American Saison that I’ve had. Hazy orange color with thin, lasting head. Nice aromas of sweet malt, light yeast and ripe peaches. The taste is a lot of the same. Medium bodied, a touch of sweet malt to offset the full hop flavor. Spicy with cinnamon, pepper and coriander.

Thanks Dr. Bill. This Saison pours with an orange-amber body topped by a very thick head with lots of lacing. The aroma is sweet and fruity (citrus) with nice candy sugar notes and a nice spiciness. Very nice aroma. The flavor is sweet and spicy with a wonderful fruitiness, a little candy sugar and some clove. Waw, what a great flavor. Medium bodied, smooth and dry.

Poured a hazy orange color with a large off white head and nice lacing. Yeast, orange citrus, and coriander aroma. Most of the same were found in the taste, it had a dry finish and pleasant carbonation was all over the place.

extremely yeasty with alcohol notes climbing up into every cell of your body..some hints of canned fruit cocktail also..as you begin to feel that this brew might be a bit too sweet..it becomes bitter..its a powerful concoction that shouldn't be taken lightly.
