The beer is clear, reddish brown, and topped with a light tan colored head. The head is creamy, and sticks around a while. The beer is creamy on the tongue, certainly a thicker beer than most amber lagers. The aromatics consist of toasted nuts, cereal malt, light caramel, and weak spicy hop notes. The flavor is well balanced between the malty caramel sweetness, and the weak hoppy bitterness. A great beer.
