Creating a classic hefeweizen starts with traditional ingredients and ends with choosing the right strain of yeast in order to obtain the proper flavor profile. Heatwave Hefeweizen uses a tried and true ratio of pilsner and wheat grains (a portion grown locally in Marana, AZ), noble hops, and German hefeweizen yeast to get the distinct snap of banana and clove that you would expect from a great brew of this style. Served young while yeast remains in suspension, this beer is cloudy, crisp, and satisfying.
