A timeless classic. We have been brewing Ottakringer Helles ever since the brewery was established. It has been in a constant state of change and has developed its taste with time: The best hops and malt, and mild spring water from our in-house brewery well provide an even balance between a light malt aroma with fruity notes and pleasant bitterness. The straw colour and fresh yeast aroma are trademarks of this beer. The beer pours a translucent pale straw colour with a bubbly white head which doesn’t last long, nor laces very well. The aroma is grainy malt, yeast, and herbal hops. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is very grainy with an overly bitter hop finish, and aftertaste. Was hoping for better!
