2021 version with higher alcohol content. Slightly hazed, caramel-amber colour with a creamy beige head, big bubbles at times, mild carbonation and good foamy lacing. Caramel and vanilla aromas. Same for flavours with hints of dark fruits and decent hops to cut the sweetness in the end. Bitterness does build with time, lingering in the finish. Not bad, but the balance between the oak sweetness and the bitter-alcohol feel is not the best. Glad I tried one, but would not have another.

Pours clear copper with a thick and fairly persistent buff head. Aroma offers toasted malt, woody, whisky, and subtle caramel and fruity notes. Flavor provides toasted malt, caramel, whisky, woody, and shy fruity tones, the latter mainly pomme with a tropical hint. Texture delivers smooth, fair body and perky fizz. Dead on!
