We chose to dry hop to add more depth to the beer, so we brewed a classic German Pilsner and then lightly dry-hopped with Citra. Pilsners are one of my favourite styles of beer and not something that you want to mess around with too much, but what I like about the dry hop is the resulting nose of a Session Pale or IPA with the drinkability of a pils. On Farmer, notes of light citrus, lemon, and fresh cut grass come through the most, with a crisp, fresh and crackery finish to (hopefully) leave you wanting more.

The beer pours a translucent metallic gold colour with a thin white film for a head. The aroma is light citrus, grains, and fruity hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is nicely balanced between the grains and the hops. Nothing powerful, it ‘just is’.

A very slight hazy, light golden-yellow colour with a fizzy foamy white cap, disappearing quickly, but a soapy ring stays. Very mild nose of cereal grains with some hoppiness that gives out grape and gooseberry hints. The mouthfeel is kind of thin, kind of dry. The malt is low with some decent hops in the finish. All is pretty light in this one, but does the job. Interesting dry-pils.
