Beer Description:
This sour pale ale merges different flavour profiles by blending vibrant, tropical New World hops with a lactic fermentation that brightens and transforms the hops into a juicy citrus character. Heist is also distinctive in undergoing a hot fermentation (in excess of 30 Celsius) with a family of Norwegian yeast (Kveik) only recently commercially available in North America.

This lively pale ale is lightly soured and fermented with KVEIK — a family of Norwegian yeast that adds an electrifying tangerine kick.

Kveik yeast ferments quickly at high temperatures. The Hornindal Kveik blend used imparts bright, citrus notes.

Barley: Canadian 2 - Row, Maris Otter
Wheat: Flaked Wheat
Hops: Amarillo, Citra, Azacca, Ekuanot
Yeast: Hornindal Kveik blend
Bacteria: Lactobacillus Plantarum
