Pours somewhat translucent sepia with a thick dirty buff head. Aroma yields roast malt, semi-sweet chocolate, woody and whisky tones plus a pinch of hops. Flavor yields roast malt, chocolate, whisky, woody and subtle hoppy tones, not spectacular but distinctive and enjoyable. Texture seems thin for a porter, but fizz is lively. A good beer for a special celebration.
