Oh nice !! Smells like After Eight chocolate mints, so nice for this time of year - Christmas and all. Pours a dark brown colour, hazy, with copper highlights, a beige head that is fizzing away leaving only a small collar. Aromas of chocolate and fake mint. The mouthfeel as other brews of this series of Milkshake stouts is pretty thin. The taste is mild with chocolate and roasted malts. The minty freshness lingers on the tongue. I probably prefer this one of the series, as not rich, but re-freshing.

The beer, when held up to a strong white light, pours a translucent dark brown colour with blackened edges. There is very little to no cap to speak of, aside from a small brown island of bubbles. The two predominant aromas are alcohol (it’s only 4.5%) and mint. Closer inspection reveals roasted malt, chocolate, and vanilla. The mouthfeel is very thin, almost soda pop thin which goes along with being a translucent stout and quickly disappearing head. The flavour is very weak, almost watered down. There are weak hints of roasted malt and chocolate with a hint of mint. This did not make for a good beer, but would have made for a great soft drink.
