Pours a clean slightly-darker amber colour with a frothy-creamy beige head, good stay and some very nice lace. Aromas of freshly grounded coffee over roasted, caramel and fruity malts. Seems like this will be sweet, but the hops help this not be that way. Coffee notes, chocolate, roasted malt and good bitterness and dryness in the finish. Quite a decent coffee ale.

Part of Sleeman Beer Crate 12pk. Pours a small foamy off-white head that dissipates to a very thin layer, has a clear amber coppery appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas light toasted malts, resin, mild coffee. Flavours are a mix of mild roasted malt and mild coffee, nothing too overpowering. Some notes of caramel and toffee. Also a little bit of resin and earthy hints. Moderate carbonation. Actually not too bad and much better than expected.
