We brew Mocha Porter in partnership with JJ Bean, our long-time Granville Island neighbour. Fresh-ground JJ Bean decaf dark roast coffee, real cocoa and roasted malts greet you up front, with lightly bitter hop notes lingering behind. Like a rich mocha, this cozy porter is made for sweater weather.

Part of their Winter Mangler 12-pack for 2018-19. Pours a real dark, almost black colour with very little copper highlights. The head is beige, warm, decent lasting, leaving a coat on the top with a little lace. Mild coffee nose with more molasses and dates from the porter part. The taste as well shows more porter than coffee. Maybe the warm liquid lingers on the tongue. Not bad, but prefer the Mill Street Coffee Porter which has been around very long for us in Ontario.
