The beer pours a translucent mahogany colour with a thin creamy tan coloured cap which lasts throughout. The aroma is dark fruit like raisins or plums, molasses, grass, and earthy hops. Smells quite good actually. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is not as good as the smell. While only 6%, the alcohol can be detected along with notes of bread, yeast, and weak sweetness. It’s not bad, but not something I would try again. -

Nice looking bottle and the name... just the name was like - oh yes !! Not so much having it now. Clean copper colour with a beige head, average retention and a little foamy lace. Bready malts with plum (pudding?) and lots of caramel. That's about it for the pudding part (and who really wants plum pudding). Not as sweet as expected in the taste with the bread notes, but a surprise. Some hops creating a decent dryness, taking over the caramel malts. Good as a darker ale, but a letdown from the title. Maybe more fruitcake. Yuck to that!
