Our Sour Harvest Saison is truly a unique mash up of styles and flavours. This brew starts as a classic Saison, utilizing a traditional Saison yeast to provide both spicy and earthy tones. We then inoculate the wort with Lactobacillus for 24 hours, giving the brew a refreshing sour flavour. From there we add locally grown and roasted pumpkins and traditional pumpkin pie spices. The final product is pure magic: sweet sour, and spicy.

Had a year-old earlier this week and quite liked it. Now, lets try the fresh one. Lightly hazy, golden-yellow with a white cap, good stay and lacing all-around. Gooseberries in the aromas with the sourness, Belgian Ale yeast of the Saison and hints of citrus. The taste is quite sour. What I liked about the older one is that the sourness what milder, so the spices and pumpkin stood out. Not so much in the fresh one. The Saison part of it nice though. Mild, but nice.
