Blackberry Daze IPA™ is a synergistic union of blackberries and hops. It gets its hop bitterness and some of its hop aroma in the brewhouse. Most of the action, however, is in the cellar, where the fruit is added during secondary fermentation. A special blend of loamy, herbaceous hops for dry-hopping complements the brightness and deep complexity of the blackberries. The result is a funky synthesis of rich earth and ripe fruit, hop bitterness and blackberry tartness, with alluring color and aromas up front, sublimely intense flavors, and a refreshingly dryish finish.

Pours clear, slightly coppery amber with a thick and fairly persistent beige head. Aroma offers fresh malt and blackberry tones. I LOVE blackberries! Flavor ups the blackberry component and trots in a touch of berry sweetness, along with more than a hint of woody and bitter hops. Mouthfeel presents so-so body and fizz. Berry up to this IPA.

This is about 2nd or borderline 3rd tier IPA. Wanted to like it more based on the Anchor label, but seems a little weaker and on the macro-side. Kind of West-Coast in style. Could use some more hops and bitterness. Blackberry is mild so not too fruity in both flavor and aroma. Has a clearish medium yellow to light gold appearance. Only grabbed a single, so may have to sampe again.
