Buckle up, buckaroo – you’re about to go on a wild, hoppy ride. The Fogcutter is our first true double IPA, and it’s quite the work of art. Yeah, it’s bitter, but it’s supposed to be. And the variety of malt flavors and aroma help balance it all out, as any good DIPA deserves. The bright, citrusy nose is born from the extra dry-hop from Cascade, Centennial, Crystal, Chinook, and Citra hops.

Aroma reaches out and touches your beezer the moment you open the can - or perhaps the bottle. It yields piney hops, sweet and tart citrus, and a little fresh malt. The brew pours clear amber with a fairly thick ivory head. Flavor provides piney hops, resiny and just a little bitter, plus tangy citrus, sweet fresh malt and woody undernotes. Texture features firm, smooth body and good fizz. This may cut through the fog, but if you get too fogged, please call a ride.

Bomber from BCLDB Fleetwood. Poured a clear, medium gold along with a sizeable, fluffy white head. Good aroma, with generous helpings of grapefruit and resins. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavour featured ample doses of the grapefruit and resins, with a balanced finish; some maltiness here. Highly recommended. Odd that the name is so similar to Lost Coast's now retired Fogcutter barleywine of a few years back. No matter. It is a good name, and both were/are good beers.
