We’re always looking for new, playful ways to approach the art of brewing, and with that in mind we invited Christopher Elbow back to the brewery to reimagine our very popular Chocolate Ale. This exciting new version adds the bright flavors and aromas of raspberry, for a fresh take on an old favorite.

Now if you want a beer that tastes. Like a perfect balance of raspberries, chocolate and smoke. This is the one you want to drink. Well worth the $22 price tag.

Raspberry aroma reaches the olfactory system almost the moment the bottle is opened. Chocolate and roast malt notes make their appearance as one closes in. It pours translucent reddish brown, somewhere between milk chocolate and cherry wood, with a thick and somewhat lasting light tan head. Raspberry and chocolate dominate the flavor, like eating a raspberry candy bar; roast malt and a bit of hops provide the background. Mouthfeel features average body and OK fizz. If you like raspberries and chocolate, grab a bottle and enjoy.
