Pours opaque chocolate brown with a fairly thick tan head. Aroma presents coffee, roast malt, peppery, woody and yeasty tones. Flavor roars quality coffee, roasted malt, chocolate, molasses and woody notes across the palate, along with hints of whisky and yeast - and an occasional peppery whisper. Mouthfeel features firm, viscous texture, if not a lot of fizz. This bold strong ale drinks like a stout and will please anybody who likes dark beers that burst with flavor.
