Pale stouts haven’t been brewed since the1800s. Originally "stout" meant "strong". Today’s "stout" was a strong porter originally named "Stout Porter". Soft on the palate with a wonderful malt character from the English Maris Otter barley. AND it’s on Nitro!

Pale stout sounds like an oxymoron till you learn he original meaning of "stout." Pours clear coppery with a thick and quite persistent buff head. Aroma features strong toasty malt plus apple tones. Flavor is quite fruity, mostly Apple plus some pear, and a little malt. Mouthfeel features firm, smooth body and good fizz. Everything old is new again in this brew.
