Cork pretty much flew out of the bottle. Pours a copper colored beer with a huge whipped cream dollop on top. Nose is sharp, very tart and acidic.First pour reveals heavy sediment. First sip is full of sour fruit a little musty earthiness also. Every sip is revealing new flavors. The balance between sweet and sour is a huge battle on the tongue. This is an amazing beer that has to be tried to understand what all is going on. Flavors are bouncing all over my mouth and just as you start to pin one down something else jumps to the front. Simply Amazing.

Reddish brown color. Very large foamy head. Aroma is sour cherries, must and yeast. The cork came out with a small popping sound and without explosion. A medium bodied Flemish Sour Ale. Amazing carbonation, it just hangs around forever and ever. Fruitiness is full and complex; there are tastes of cherries, oranges, apples and cranberries. Moderate yeastiness. Woody and musty with the very distinctive sour and tart taste of a Flemish Sour Red. The tartness, sourness and vinous qualities are not as strong as in Rodenbach or the Duchess and allow the complex fruitiness to shine. An AMAZING beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is sweet and dry. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

Appearance: This pours a cloudy orange color with a frothy white head. Aroma: The schnauzola is musty, definitely something to get used to Flavor: The taste is sour (surprise!) but finishes cleanly and leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth

The cork is jumping out without much help and the beer is foaming, foaming, ... during about 10 minutes ! Dark red-amber colour with a giant foamy head, strong complex nose of vinegar, noble moisture, green apple, vinous, alcohol; sweet and full-bodied, very strong bitterness, long bitter, fruity and alcohol finish - deeply impressive and very pleasant !

Copper color with the most amazing head. Aroma of sour cherries and oak. Taste was a sour mix of cherries, lemons and apples, lightly sweet maltiness and yeast. All balanced perfectly leaving the sourness you want in this bottle of pure nectar.

Poured a hazy, reddish, copper color with a small off white head with large bubbles, but it did leave nice lacing on the glass. Sweet cherry, apple and a light brett aroma. More tart cherry and apple skins in the taste, lightly spiced notes with a soft mouthfeel, and moderate carbonation. A very nice Flemish Sour.

First of all, I'm glad I read some other ratings before opening the bottle, or should I say before letting the bottle open itself. With my thumb firmly over the top of the cork and guard I untwisted the wire and BOOM the cork came out, almost taking my thumb with it. After allowing the bottle to rest for a minute or two I poured my first glass of head, well that's not true, there was at least a half inch of liquid at the bottom of the glass. After another few minutes I was able to pour a whole glass. The body is a cloudy amber-orange and is topped by a thick, rocky long lasting head. The lacing left on the glass is incredibly beautiful. A sour yet somewhat sweet, vinious aroma fills the nose and notes of orange linger in the background. The sour(what else would it be) acidic, winey flavor is shodaowed by a sweet fruity character and is followed by a similar finish with slight piney notes. A Medium to full bodied brew with a tingle on the tongue from the carbonation that is worth having again and again (if you can find it).

a gingantic head sat atop the pinkish-orange fluid and settled in a lumpy mess..aroma was a basket of corks, horses, fumes from fresh lemon zest, acidic eye stingers and grapey wine boosters..the taste spoke in brown overripe cherries in an acidic wonderland w/ flandering puckery waves of insanity...aroma turned into an array of different colored cow dung..in a good way though..ooh! a wonderful example of the style..
