Pours clear sepia with a nice buff head. Aroma presents toasted malt and spicy notes with chocolate and caramel hints. Flavor pleases with malty, chocolate, caramel, nutty, and subtle spicy and hoppy tones. Mouthfeel is thin, but fizz is good. Excellent for this time of year.

Not the biggest fans of winter ales, but like brown ales. Was hoping more like the later, but was a bit too sweet, too much spice and all. The balance wasn’t too far off, just has that macro-ish feel to it. A little too much carbonation as well. Glad I only sampled a single.
