I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream beer. Our newest collaboration with Ben & Jerry’s brings together two different types of pint-makers for one common goal: To help Protect Our Winters combat climate change. When two foodie B Corps join forces for good, delicious ideas are created. Our Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale scoops the lip-smacking fun of dessert from a bowl right into your pint glass. Brewed with specialty ingredients and a healthy sweet tooth, this beer’s rich chocolaty, salted-caramel, vanilla goodness is worth savoring to the last drop. Reward yourself, and dig in! We add cocoa and vanilla powder in the maturation vessel to retain all the delicate volatile aromas and flavors for a big dessert beer blast.

Pours clear chestnut with a respectable buff head that sticks around for a while. Aroma presents caramel, chocolate, vanilla, toasted malt and salty tones. Flavor has a definite ice cream feel, chocolate and vanilla and a little caramel but a little malt to let you know this is beer, as well as a salty hint. Finish is a little sweet, while body is firm and smooth. A great dessert beer, and one teeny thing you can do to save our planet - if it’s not too late.

Based on some of the other newer New Belgium beers, I was a little skeptical over this. Sampled a single first to be safe, but I'd say good enough for a 6-pack. Better than expected. Has a medium brown thinner appearance, with a decent texture. Some roasted chocolate and caramel malts, but not really getting much salty and brownie in there. This is probably more of a sale based on the B&J brand name, but worth the try though.

12 oz bottle. Pours light ruby brown with a medium creamy light tan head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is sweet fudgy chocolate with some leathery roast.

The flavor is sweet fudgy chocolate and caramel with some charred acidic roast. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, nice dessert flavors with odd roast notes.

Bottle. Brown pour with a short, fizzy tan head. Aroma is soft chocolate, caramel, sweet malt, chocolate ice cream and light nutty aromas. Taste is chocolate, sweet malt, chocolate covered nuts, caramel, toasted malt and a hint of the salt and the back end. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation. Ends with more chocolate, caramel, toasted malt, soft nutty notes, sweet malt and light salt.
