Pirates love citrus fruits almost as much as they love blood. If the phrase “you are what you eat” is true, then pirates are blood oranges. If the phrase “you are what you drink” is true, you’re about to be an incredibly delicious, juicy hop bomb of an IPA. We add bits of real blood orange to every beer, so you know it’s good.

Pours clear golden amber with a fairly thick and fine-bubbled buff head. Strong and hoppy aroma has firm woody and citrus tones. Flavor presents woody but barely bitter hops riding on orange and grapefruit notes, plus a bit of fresh malt and a bit of hay. Mouthfeel features firm body and bold fizz. Ay, matey, a bloody good brew!

Received from a friend in GA in a trade. One of the better blood orange IPAs that I've had. Not overwhelming on the additives. You can taste mild orange in there, but the color or base flavor isn't changed much. Has a cloudy/hazy light orange appearance. Good malt-hop balance. I am eager now to try their regular Eye Patch Ale- IPA later tonight.
