Burnt malt and pine aroma. Redish Black pour with a very thin none lasting head. Quite a tasty beer from a brewery I normally avoid. It's the style that got me. Flavour off dark and sweet roasted malts, licorice, caramel, dark chocolate and a slightly hoppy finish. Appearance is a bit of a let down but because of this one beer I might try for more from this Pilot Batch. And The price is right.
