Smoky, oily aroma is surprisingly hoppy, a firm hay overtone that still lets through notes of chocolate, roast malt and quality coffee plus a hint of bourbon. Pours a luscious chocolate sable with a thick and rather persistent tan head. Luscious flavor is much like an excellent black IPA - smoky and hoppy, hints of chocolate, bourbon and coffee, though the last is more of a whisper. Lip-smacking nonetheless. Firm, viscous texture has good fizz and leaves a persistent tingle from the lips all the way down the pipes. Call it Happy Ending 2013, or whatever, it’s seriously yummy!
