A delicious malty brown ale featuring local honey. This ale delights the pallet with a rich malt profile and just a hint of honey essence.

The beer pours a translucent reddish brown colour with a long lasting light brown cap which leaves a little lacing. The aroma is toasted grains, light caramel, honey, bread, musty hops, and yeast. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet honey roasted nuts, grass, with a hint of a bitter citrusy hop finish.

Picked up a 500ml bottle at the brewery. Pours an average size frothy creamy off-white head and has a slightly dark amber appearance. Aromas of honey, sweet and toasted malts. Flavours are dark fruits, light roasted malts, faint hints of caramel. The honey is more apparent in the finish. Drying sensation on the palate. Average carbonation. Unfortunately there’s too much of a rusty metallic aftertaste after a while.

Pours an amber-brown colour with a big frothy beige head, great retention and some dirty lacing, forming small foamy streaks. Maybe a little hazy. Smells very yeasty over the caramel malts and cheap hops. Tastes better with the sweet malts being better blended with the light hops. Well, flavours are much better. If you like a rich honey brown, you will like this.
