After the fateful serpent bite which killed his wife, Eurydice, Orpheus spent years wandering the earth in mourning. His sad songs eventually moved a stone and opened the entrance to the underworld, where he journeyed down to Hades in search of her. In his wandering, visions of Eurydice danced around in his head, both his curse and his solace. Food pairing The acidity and fruit in Wandering Blues make it a wonderful pairing for the ripest cheeses, fatty meats, and brunch on a patio. Composition Hops: Azacca Grain: Two row barley, white wheat, flaked wheat Fermentation: Wild sour mash, French Saison yeast Other: Blueberries, cold pressed by Arden’s Garden for us

Comes out of the growler a hazy apricot with a thick and fluffy, though not long-lasting, ivory head. Aroma is not strong, but tempts with yeast, butterscotch, banana, and - barbecue sauce? - notes. Lots of Bs there, ha ha. Flavor delights with sour fruit that includes pear, apple and banana; zingy yeast and subtle malt notes. Still get the barbecue sauce hint. Texture is firm and smooth; tingle is not strong, but sticks around for a while. Finish is fruity and subtly sour. Wander on down to your favorite watering hole, growler store, or bottle shop and grab some.
