King of the Yahd is the royal big brother of our beloved Backyahd IPA. The King’s got a big malt backbone – piles of pilsner, maris otter, rye, and spelt – topped off with a mighty crown of hops. This year’s King blends Zythos, Columbus, Amarillo, and Citra in 11 individual hop additions.

Cloudy copper colour pour with a large frothy head. Good retention and lacing. Fruity and floral aroma. Hop flavour is similar to it's smaller brother. Grapefruit, pine, lemon, floral and a bit soapy. Caramel malt adds some sweetness and balance. Smooth and tasty. Not bad for a wee State.
