Brewed at our Toronto brewpub, 100th Meridian Amber Lager is an organic beer brewed with ingredients from west of the 100th Meridian. Prairie pale, amber and caramel malts are combined artfully with citrusy and floral west coast hops and then patiently fermented cool and aged cold in classic lager process to make a truly unique beer. Light copper in colour with a white head and aroma of fresh hops, this is a truly satisfying amber lager for all beer lovers. This beer is from a time and a place where quality and integrity aren't just bywords or catch phrases, they are part of the authentic fabric of the land and its people. Tasting Notes: Light floral grapefruit/citrus aroma and subtle toasted malt undertone gives way to a solid pale/caramel malt palate and soft, floral lingering finish balanced between mouthcoating malt and drying hops. Very balanced. Cheers!

341ml from the Mill Street Summer Sampler 6-pack; none of them have been even close to good thus far. Hazy amber pour, ivory head. Malt aroma, maybe some floral hop as well, but not much. Thin mouth. Listless flavour. Sweet finish. Glad it was free.

Wow. What a let down for a Mill Street product. The only thing redeemable about this tripe is the nose, which, to me, gives off a bit more of an ale smell than a lager one. Taste wise, while bland, is still a little too nutty for my liking and w/ a tinge of butterscotch, which does not impress me at all. I found the body to be extremely cloying and sticky, both on the roof of the mouth and the palate. The body is very plain w/ a thin, small cap that dissipates quickly. Pass.

Pours a very thin foamy head and dissipates fairly quickly. Has a deep golden appearance. Weak lacing. Flavours are quite grainy, mild sweet and wheat malts. A little bit of bitterness from the hops. Prefer this organic lager over their regular (original) one.

The 100th Meridian, where the great plains begin....where the great plains begin. The beer pours a translucent copper colour with a thin white ring for a head. Aroma is caramel, malt, and weak floral hoppishness. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is caramel, malt, some yeast notes and a bitter finish. I like this one.

Part of their Summer Sampler 2014. Pours a light clear amber colour with a big frothy warm cap, good retention and some sticky foam lace. Aromas of grainy cereal, with some grassy notes that eventually come out, and then, some caramel malts sweetness. Light mouthfeel with a little silkiness. Grainy taste with just a tad of butterscotch. Mild bitterness in the finish. A little dry. A decent organic amber lager that is a good choice for their summer regular beer.
